Designing for real human needs

What healthcare and hospitality taught us about empathy in design.

A patient booking an appointment is often anxious. A traveller arriving late at a homestay is tired. Neither cares about clever animations. They want clarity, reassurance and the next step to be obvious.

Design for the worst moment

We map the most stressful moment in each journey and design for that first. For Sehat+, it was finding a report. For InnKeep, it was the front desk on a full-house night.

Reduce, then refine

Every extra field, choice or screen is a small cost. We remove until something breaks, then add back only what is essential. Visual polish comes after the flow feels effortless.

Test with real people

Five short sessions with real users uncover more than weeks of internal debate. Watching someone hesitate over a button is the fastest design feedback there is.
